Zane Mars Zane Mars was born in Denver, Colorado on February 10th, 1964. His mother Elsie Jean Cox was a housewife and artist. His father Thomas was an Airline Pilot. Zane has two brothers, Cameron and Forrest.

As a child growing up in Colorado Zane enjoyed hunting, fishing, nature and the outdoors in general.

Zane attended Foothills Elementary, Dunston Jr. High and Green Mountain High School, graduating in 1982. His favorite subjects were psychology and art. Zane participated in competition weight lifting while in high school. He also won several art competitions and awards in his educational years.

Zane has been a motorcycle enthusiast for most of his adult life. He was involved in a severe motorcycle accident on July, 4th, 1985. Zane lost his left arm in this accident, but that didn't stop him from expressing his love for motorcycles. He now rides a customized 1993 3-wheel Harley Davidson Fat Boy.

Zane's artwork tends to be mostly wildlife, but can be more diverse. You will find that he paints whatever he is in the mood for. Occasionally he paints people that can best be described as Southern Folk. Sometimes he feels the urge to paint something from the old west. Whatever Zane paints you can be sure that it will enlighten all who see it, and give a special warmth to any room it hangs in. Over the years Zane has won several art awards and competitions.

Zane is currently very happily married to his wife Laurie. They were married on February 14, 2003. They reside in Colorado where Zane works from his home studio to bring you these amazing works of art.
