Ron Huston
|
Born in Lincoln, Nebraska, Ron Huston has enjoyed the outdoors since his youth. Following his desire to live near the mountains and forests he moved to Denver, Colorado in 1977 and then to Evergreen, Colorado in 1981 where he has been since. In 1983 Ron began to seriously study wildlife and botany. He travels and explores the natural world as often as possible to expand his knowledge and experience with nature. The intimate knowledge that he has gained from these close observations helps his photography show the beauty and wonders of nature. His training in photography began in 1996 and has continued on to today by attending numerous workshops and seminars conducted by various professional photographers. By studying with many different photographers he has been exposed to many styles, techniques and perspectives and combined with his own experimentation has given him his own preferred approach to creating images of the natural world. In addition he stays current by reading books and magazines on photography, nature and wildlife as well as maintaining contact with other photographers, biologists and naturalists. His favorite photography subjects include wild animals, flowers, plants and landscapes. In September of 2003, he entered his first ever juried art show at the Lafayette Art Center in Lafayette, Colorado. Ron was awarded second place in the photography division which had received entries from all over the front range of Colorado encompassing all different types and styles of photography work including but not limited to nature, portrait and wedding. The high quality of Ron’s prints, matting and frames are a reflection of his drive to create beautiful works of art that will please the most discriminating art lover. His signed work can be purchased already framed, matted or unmatted to suit one ’s preference. Ron also enjoys leading trips to help others to learn about nature and nature photography and better understand and appreciate the importance of protecting our natural heritage. |
