Moving to Colorado 25 years ago from Indiana, I instantly fell in love with the natural beauty and the 300 days of sunshine in our glorious state. Colorado is truly a painters paradise.
I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Columbus College of Art and Design in 1977, and began my art career as a graphic designer. Actually one of my first jobs was painting murals on custom van conversions in the early 80’s.
My wife, Mary, and I , have had a successful painting business in Evergreen…house painting that is. Many of our customers over the years were happily surprised by my color mixing and matching expertise and intricate faux finishes, due to my training in and passion for art.
Having been forced into early retirement due to Parkinson’s Disease, I am now enjoying painting canvasses again, working out of the studio I designed and built in our Evergreen home. There is always a silver lining.
I find inspiration for my work in the beauty of Old Masters, the Impressionists, and the natural beauty of our world. I strive to add a bit of mystery to my oil paintings and evoke in my viewers an awe of
Mother Nature and her many moods
